ეს პროექტი არის მარტინე ნედამის (საფრანგეთი, ჰოლანდია) რეაქცია დღევანდელ ქართულ სიტუაციაზე, საიდანაც ყველა ახალგაზრდა მხატვარს საზღვარგარეთ წასვლა უნდა. მხატვრები მიდიან, მარტინეს კი უნდა ჯგუფური მუშაობის შედეგად შექმნას ახალი, ვირტუალური მხატვრები გეოეარის არქივში არსებული ინფორმაციის გამოყენებით.

გეოეარის რეზიდენციაში მარტინე ნედამის პირველი ნაბიჯი იქნება ადგილობრივ სახელოვნებო სივრცეში მომუშავე ხალხთან დაკავშირება, ესენი იქნებიან მხატვრები, სტუდენტები, ხელოვნების მოყვარულები. ასევე ინტერნეტ კომუნები, ბლოგერები და სოციალურ მედიაში მომუშავე ხალხი. დაინტერესებულ პირებს შეეძლებათ ამ პროექტისთვის მატრინეს გაკეთებული ინტერფეისი გამოიყენონ. http://virtualperson.net არის ვებ გვერდი, რომელიც მან 4 წლის წინ შექმნა. ამ ონლაინ მექანიზმის მეშვეობით შეიძლება შეგროვდეს ტექსტები და სურათები რათა შეიქმნას ვირტუალური პერსონაჟი (virtual character). ეს ადვილიად გამოსაყენებელი ინტერფეისი მისაწვდომია ყველასთვის ვინც კომპიურეთან თავისუფლად მუშაობს.

მარტინე ნედამი ჩაატარებს რამდენიმე ჯგუფურ ვორკშოფს. ამ ვორქშოფებით მას სურს რეალური ცხოვრების და სახელოვნებო საზოგადოების დაკავშირება. შეკრებილ ჯგუფთან ერთად მას ასევე სურს იმუშაოს იდეების განვითარებაზე და ჩაატაროს “brainstorming”, რაც ვირტუალური პერსონაჟების შესაქმნელად იქნება საჭირო.

ჯგუფთან ერთად შეიქმნება “ახალი მხატვრები”, ან “განსხვავებული მხატვრები”, “დავიწყებული მხატვრები”, “მომავლის მხატვრები”, “უარყოფილი მხატვრები” და ა.შ.…შეიქმნება მათი ბიოგრაფიები, მათი ნამუშევრები, მათი წარმატება, წარუმატებლობა და ყველაფერი რაც კი შეგვიძლია მხარტვართან დაკავშირებით წარმოვიდგინოთ.

პროექტის შედეგი იქნება ინტერნეტ ინტერფეისი, რომელიც წარმოადგენს ხელოვნურად შექმნილ მხატვარებს (საქართველოდან). პროექტის დამთავრების შემდეგ გაკეთდება პრეზენტაცია სადაც დიდ ეკრანზე, ეს პროექტი იქნება განხილული მარტინეს და ამ პროექტზე მომუშავე ჯგუფის მიერ.

GeoAIR residency, Zubalashvilebi street 56A

In her project, Martine Neddam wants to react to the situation in Georgia. In the time when all the young artists want to live abroad, why not "create" some new artists virtually, making use of available information from GeoAIR archive?

At the GeoAIR residency, Martines first step will be to connect with the local art scene, artists, students, art lovers, and also to the internet community, bloggers, and social media. She will make workshops for the group of Georgian people using her interface http://virtualperson.net. It is a website she created 4 years ago, an online tool made to assemble texts and pictures in order to create a virtual character.

The interface is very easy to use and accessible to anybody familiar with a computer. Workshops like these are a good way to make real life contact with the art community and brainstorm together or individually and trigger the imagination on the idea of "another person", while gathering and publishing digital material which can be viewed online.

Together with some people in Tbilisi, New_Artists, or Different_Artists, Forgotten_Artists, Future_Artists, Future_Artists, Neglected_Artists, etc will be created. They will also have their biography, the documentation of their works, their success, their failures, and whatever one can imagine about artists.

The results of this project would be an online interface presenting the Artificial_Artists (of Georgia). After the project is finished, there will be a live presentation with a big screen, where the Artificial_Artists would be reviewed and commented by Martine Neddam and those who have made them.

Martine Neddam [http://neddam.org] is an artist who uses language as raw material. Since she began as an artist, her favourite subjects always were "speech acts", modes of address, words in the public space. Since 1988 she exposed text objects (banners, plaques, shadows on the wall) in museums and galleries. She also realized many large public commissions in several european countries: Netherlands, France, Great Britain [http://neddam.info]

Martine Neddam is also professor in visual arts at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam where she lives since 1994. In Montreal at the UQAM she is regularly invited as guest professor. In 2008 she gave a special course in the Masters program about virtual characters.

Since 1996 she created on internet virtual characters who lead an autonomous artistic existence in which the real author is never disclosed.

• Mouchette [http://mouchette.org] created in 1996, whose website is still active to this day, is a 13 year old girl who exposes online the fantasies born from her dark imagination, and sonstantly triggers for user's participation and response from her web audience. She has become such a cult figure that she decided to share her identity with her online friends in Mouchette's Network [http://mouchette.net]
• David Still [http://davidstill.org] who was created in 2001 offers his identity and the use of his email account to all the passing websurfers.
• XiaoQian, created in 2006 is a chinese artist who create virtual characters [http://turbulence.org/Works/XiaoQian/]

Recently she has been developing of a new online software allowing the creation of virtual characters [http://virtualperson.net]. She has given workshops and presentations with it in many parts of the world: Montreal, Canada, Shanghai, China, Aruba in the Netherlands Antilles, etc...

გაი ჰოუქსი ცნობილი ტასმანიელი (ავსტრალია) მხატვარია. იგი ქმნის ქანდაკებებს, ავეჯს, ტექსტილს, კოსტუმებს და ერთჯერად ღონისძიებებს.

თავის უნარებს იგი მრავალ სხვადასხვა გარემოში გასცემს, მათ შორის მწვავე ფსიქიკური აშლილობის თუ კერძო სკოლებში. ზაფხულის განმავლობაში "Dunalley Children's Chair Factory" ფუნქციონირებს მის ხის ნავის სტუდიაში, დუნალეი, ტაზმანიაში, ხოლო წელიწადის სხვა დროს გაი ჰოუქსი მოგზაურობს მისი "მოხეტიალე ფარდულით".

Gay Hawkes is an established artist from Tasmania, Australia. She creates sculpture, furniture, textile art, costumes and unique events and is known as a creator of sculptural/functional works expressed in the vernacular.

She passes on these skills in many community settings including schools, forensic acute mental health and private workshops. During summer the "Dunalley Children's Chair Factory" operates in her superb boatshed studio, Dunalley, Tasmania and otherwise Hawkes is available on the mainland with her "Roving Shed".

In 2008 she was a finalist in the Australian Inspirational Teachers' Awards.

Works are represented in Parliament House, Canberra, Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria, Australian War Memorial, Powerhouse Museum and other major collections.

გიორგი მამედოვი არის დამოუკიდებელი კურატორი და ხელოვნების მენეჯერი. დაიბადა დუშანბეში (ტაჯიკეთი), სადაც 2009 წლამდე მუშაობდა ბაქტრია კულტურისცენტრის დირექტორად. მისი კურატორული პროექტები მოიცავს:ტაჯიკეთის პრე-ისლამური მემკვიდრეობა: არა სამუზეუმო ინტერპრეტაცია (2008 წ.), შემწყნარებლობის გამოცდილება. ევროპის კვირეული ტაჯიკეთში (2008 წ.), ავტობუსის გაჩერება: იაშმედ ხოლიკოვის პერსონალური გამოფენა (2009 წ.).

ამჟამად გიორგი მამედოვი არის ცენტრალური აზიის ინტერდისციპლინარულ პროექტის, ხელოვანები და/ საზოგადოება(ში) კურატორი. აგრეთვე არის 54 ვენეციის ბიენალეზე ცენტრალური აზიის პავილიონის გამოფენის Lingua franca/Франк тили კურატორი.

Georgy Mamedov is an independent curator and art manager. Born in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), where till 2009 he worked as the director of Bactria Cultural Centre. His curatorial projects include Pre-Islamic Heritage of Tajikistan: not a museum interpretation (2008), Experience of Tolerance. European Week in Tajikistan (2008), Bus Stops: personal exhibition of Jamshed Kholikov (2009).

At the moment Georgy curates Central Asian interdisciplinary project, Artist and/in Community and he is a co-curator of the Central Asia pavilion Lingua franca/Франк тили at the 54th Venice Biennale.

ოზგე ერსოი / Özge Ersoy

ოზგე ერსოი არის კურატორი და ხელოვნების კრიტიკოსი, ცხოვრობს და მუშაობს სტამბულში. მაგისტრის წოდება მიიღო ბარდ კოლეჯში, ნიუ ორკში და ბაკალავრიატის წოდება გლობალური და საერთაშორიოს ურთიერთობების განხრით, ბოღაზიჩის უნივერსიტეტში, სტამბული და ბინგჰემტონის უნივერსიტეტში, ნიუ ორკი. ოზგე ერსოის ნაშრომები გამოქვეყნებულია არქიტექტურის ისტორიკოსების საზოგადოების ჟურნალში, Ma’arav, Ararat Magazine, Nafas Magazine, Bidoun და RES Art World/World Art ჟურნალში. 2010 წელს იგი იყო გამომცემელი და რედაქტორი პუბლიკაციისა "როგორ დავიწყოთ? წარმოვიდგინოთ აბუ დაბის გუგენჰაიმის მუზეუმის ზემოქმედება" (“How to Begin? Özge Ersoy is a curator and art critic based in Istanbul. She received an MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, NY, and holds a BA in Global and International Affairs from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, and Binghamton University, NY.

Her writings have been published in the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Ma’arav, Ararat Magazine, Nafas Magazine, Bidoun, and RES Art World/World Art Magazine, among others. In 2010, she edited and produced a publication titled “How to Begin? Envisioning the Impact of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi," which investigates the artistic, cultural, and social implications of the planned museum.

Anne Elizabeth Moore is a Fulbright scholar, and artist and cultural critic that works internationally around issues of globalization. The critically acclaimed author of Unmarketable: Brandalism, Copyfighting, Mocketing, and the Erosion of Integrity (The New Press, 2007), and Hey Kidz, Buy This Book (Soft Skull, 2004), Moore was also the co-editor and publisher of now-defunct Punk Planet, and the founding editor of the Best American Comics series from Houghton Mifflin. She teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and speaks around the world on issues of freedom of expression.

Recently, Moore mounted two single-person exhibitions of her conceptual art, was the subject of two documentary films, and her work appeared on the radio program Snap Judgment and in the Progressive, Bitch, and on Truthout. She has written for The Onion, Feministing, The Stranger, In These Times, The Boston Phoenix, and Tin House. She has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; at Sea and Space in Los Angeles; Meta-House in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; the Center for Endless Progress in Berlin, Germany; the Spinnerei in Leipzig, Germany; and had work included in the 2008 Whitney Biennale. She recently updated Stud's Terkel’s Division Street: America for WBEZ/Vocalo in a web project called Revision Street: America. Based in New York, Elizabeth White is an artist whose work includes photography, video, installation, and social practices. Recent exhibitions include "No Soul For Sale" at the Tate Modern in London and "Surveil", a two-person show with Anne Elizabeth Moore at the Center for Endless Progress in Berlin. Her work has also been shown in New York, Dublin, and Leipzig as well as Japan and New Zealand. In the summer of 2010 she participated in the Pilotenkuche residency at the Spinnerei in Leipzig, Germany. She has been honored with an Aaron Siskind Fellowship and the support of the Hattie Strong Foundation and featured as a new talent by ArtInfo.com.

White holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and a BA from Vassar College. She teaches courses in art, design, and digital culture at the City University of New York and Ramapo College of New Jersey, and has served as a visiting faculty member at Bennington College and Purchase College.

Marjolijn Dijkman

Through her diverse work Marjolijn Dijkman often considers the foundations of how we perceive and experience our surroundings – the conventions and categories which underlie the comprehension, or not, of the world around us. Ranging from photographic archives and films, to landscape interventions and the organisation of exhibitions and experimental residencies, Dijkman’s practice has concerned itself with for example futurology, public space, knowledge organisation, cartography, utopian architecture or environmentalism.

Marjolijn Dijkman graduated from the free media department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2001, finished a post graduate course at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2003 and was for two years a researcher at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht until 2008. She is a tutor at the Fine Art Department of the MFA AKV St. Joost since 2009.

Maarten Vanden Eynde

(°Leuven, Belgium 12/02/1977) - Lives and works in Rotterdam (NL), Brussels (BE) and Saint Mihiel (FR)
Maarten Vanden Eynde is an artist who has devoted his life to exploring the mysteries of our future past by investigating the concept of Genetology, a self-invented ‘Science of First Things’ (www.genetology.net). His work is situated exactly on the borderline between the past and the future; sometimes looking forward to the future of yesterday, sometimes looking back to the history of tomorrow.
He studied Free Media at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His postgraduate studies have included a year at the Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles, USA, and two years at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium.

His work has been exhibited internationally in independent art spaces, centers for contemporary art and museums of modern art. In 2005 he founded the organisation Enough Room for Space, a mobile platform for site-specific projects, together with Marjolijn Dijkman. Since 2008 he contributes to the Generali Group Strategic Leadership Programmes as an active fascilitator, consultant and participant in Think Tanks in order to create possible future scenarios.

Catherine Hemelryk will talk about protest as an art form. She will discuss the Pro-Test Lab steered by Nomeda and Gediminas Urbonas in Vilnius at a time of privatization of public space in Lithuania, whose project used the iconic Cinema Lietuva as its focus. With a nod to the political activism of the 1960s and 70s, she will also talk about other examples of protest as art including the recent Save the Arts campaign in the UK as a result of government cuts to arts funding and education, asking if there is a line between political epigram, protest publicity, action as art and what happens when they overlap.

ქეთრინ ჰემელრაიკმა დაამთავრა ხელოვნების სამეფო კოლეჯის მაგისტრატურა თანამედროვე ხელოვნების კურატორობის განხრით, ასევე დაამთავრა ნიუკასტელის უნივერსიტეტის ბაკალავრიატი ფერწერის განხრით (იგი მონაწილეობდა ერაზმუსის გაცვლით პროგრამაში, VSVU (სამხატვრო აკადემიაში) ბრატისლავაში). ამჟამად სწავლობს პოლიტიკას ღია უნივერსიტეტში.

Catherine Hemelryk (Born 1978 in Rugby, UK) independent curator, lives and works in London, Northampton and Rugby.

Catherine Hemelryk holds an MA Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London, and BA (hons) Fine Art from Newcastle University (with an Erasmus Exchange to VSVU Bratislava). She is currently studying Politics at the Open University.

Catherine Hemelryk is an independent curator with projects across the UK and Europe as well as Curator three days a week at the Fishmarket Gallery in Northampton. She was Curator at CAC Vilnius from 2005-2008 where she curated exhibitions including Tales From the Travel Journal vol. I and Extreme Crafts. She also worked with CAC TV and the Info Lab, commissioning artist interventions and establishing a Discussion group. She has undertaken curatorial residencies and curated projects at Hotel MariaKapel in Hoorn, Magacin in Belgrade, Galerie Antje Wachs in Berlin and has curated programmes of exhibitions, events and CPD for Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery and BCA in the East of England. Catherine regularly gives talks and lectures and has edited and written essays and performance writings and reviews for publications including Channa Boon published by Stroom, Siaures Atenai, Estonia Art and has established Beyond, an information distribution network for the East of England. She is an Arts Council Escalator Artist and has participated in projects at Wysing Arts Centre and Mind Radio.

In 2011 she is curating a project with five stately homes, five contemporary writers and artist Hayley Lock, embedding parallel worlds within the houses.
